A transparent method
A profile is more than one number
SoulNumber uses the Pythagorean numerology system. Birth-date numbers describe broad timing and direction themes, while letters in a full name are assigned values from 1 through 9 to calculate name-based numbers.
A private reading connects several values rather than treating one number as a complete description. Interpretations use possibility-based language because numerology cannot determine personality, compatibility, or future events with certainty.

These guides explain exactly what a reading uses, how the values are calculated, and what numerology can and cannot responsibly claim.
What to Expect From a Professional Numerology Reading
A thoughtful numerology reading begins with transparent calculations from your birth date and full name, then connects several numbers into one coherent interpretation. It should explain both strengths and tensions, use possibility-based language, and make clear that numerology is a reflective practice rather than scientific prediction or professional advice.

SoulNumber uses the Pythagorean system. Birth-date digits are added and reduced for Life Path and timing numbers. Letters in the full birth name receive repeating values from 1 through 9 for Expression, Soul Urge, Personality, and First Name numbers. Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33 are preserved when they appear at the final reduction stage.

Life Path comes from your birth date and describes broad direction and recurring lessons. Destiny, also called Expression, comes from every letter in your full birth name and describes capabilities and outward expression. Soul Urge comes from the vowels in that name and is used to explore inner needs and motivation.
Read the guideRelationship guideHow Numerology Compatibility Is Calculated
Numerology compatibility compares two complete profiles rather than relying on one matching number. Life Path can suggest pace and direction, Expression can highlight communication and action styles, Soul Urge can explore emotional needs, and Personal Year can show whether both people are moving through similar or different current cycles.

To calculate a Personal Year, add the digits of your birth month and day to the digits of the calendar year, then reduce the total to 1 through 9. The same birthday can therefore produce a different result in 2026 and 2027. The number offers a symbolic theme for pacing and reflection, not a prediction of specific events.
Read the guideHonest answerAre Online Numerology Readings Accurate?
An online numerology reading can calculate number values consistently when it uses a disclosed method and correct inputs. The interpretation is subjective: numerology is not scientifically validated as a way to diagnose personality or predict events. Its value is reflective, so accuracy should mean transparent arithmetic, specific reasoning, and insights you can examine rather than promises you must believe.
Read the guideOur methodologyThe SoulNumber Numerology Methodology
SoulNumber calculates eight values with a consistent Pythagorean method, preserves Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33 at the final reduction stage for core values, and interprets only the numbers supplied by those calculations. The arithmetic is deterministic. The written meaning is reflective and does not claim scientific, medical, financial, legal, or predictive authority.
Read the guideCalculation differencesWhy Numerology Calculators Give Different Results
Numerology calculators can disagree because they use different systems, reduce numbers in a different order, preserve Master Numbers at different stages, handle the letter Y differently, or change Personal Year cycles on different dates. The difference is usually a method choice, not a math error. A trustworthy calculator should show its inputs, arithmetic, and reduction rules so you can reproduce the result.
Read the guidePersonal Year timingWhen Does a Personal Year Start: January or Your Birthday?
There are two common conventions. Calendar-year numerology changes the Personal Year on January 1, while birthday-based approaches change it on or around the birthday. SoulNumber uses the calendar-year convention: birth month plus birth day plus the digits of the current calendar year, reduced to 1 through 9. Neither timing convention is scientifically established, so a calculator should state which one it uses.
Read the guideMaster Number rulesIs 29 a Master Number in Numerology?
29 is not itself a standard Master Number. Its digits total 11, so some numerology traditions write it as 29/11/2 and emphasize the intermediate 11. SoulNumber preserves 11 when the unreduced core total is exactly 11, but its Birthday-number rule preserves only people born on the 11th or 22nd. Under that published rule, a birthday on the 29th reduces from 29 to 11 and then to 2.

Understanding your numerology profile
What is numerology?
Numerology is a symbolic system that connects numbers derived from a name and birth date with recurring themes in personality, relationships, and life cycles. SoulNumber presents it as a tool for reflection, not as scientific prediction.
Which number should I calculate first?
The Life Path is a useful starting point because it uses only your birth date. A complete profile also considers Expression, Soul Urge, Personality, Birthday, Maturity, First Name, and Personal Year numbers.
Why can two people with the same Life Path feel different?
A Life Path is one part of a larger profile. Name-based numbers, birthday influences, current cycles, personal history, and individual choices can create very different expressions of the same Life Path.
